A domain name is your website's address on the internet, technically called a Universal Resource Locator, or URL. Every website must have it's own unique URL.  The cost of your domain name is dependant on what type of address you're looking for, '.co.uk' domains can be cheaper than '.com' domains, but both .co.uk and .com domains have been around for a long time and your company name may have already gone. So, you may want to look at .tv or .info or .co domains. Have a look, try some different names, see what takes your fancy.

In order to make a website visible or 'live', it must be hosted on a server which is connected to the internet. So in effect, your website is the apartment, the hosting is the tenancy agreement and the server is the boiler room in the basement. Transferring to CWS

If you are thinking of changing your web host, you can transfer your website to CWSs care very simply. CWS will deal directly on your behalf and make the transfer simple and painless. It will only cost £25 to arrange the transfer of your existing website form another supplier to us.

Maintenance and Support

We provide speedy maintenance support and aim to achieve your maintenance request within 24 hours.  You can include maintenance and support as part of your monthly hosting package. If you would like extra or one off support, one hour of admin time is charged at £14 and can be used for anything website related including such things as helping to setup mobile phones to receive e-mail!  Support is available from Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm
